Travel to mystic Middle ages of Svetvinčenat in Morosini Grimani castle – legend about Mare the witch from Svetvinčenat enriched with the fair of autochtonous products, degustation of Istrian delicacies, learning the istrian typical folk dance ‘balun’…
The medieval town of Svetvinčenat, situated in the southern part of central Istria, is one of those Istrian jewels that has been discovered only recently. It offers a variety of tourist offer such as events taking place at extremely attractive historical sites of this town: the renovated medieval Morosin-Grimani castle becomes the venue for programs of Istraetnojazz festival, whereas the nearby magnificent central town square and surrounding areas are the stage for the traditional Festival of dance and non-verbal theater.
This event will show you the best of Middle ages in Istria while plebeians and jester present you the old crafts and their products with typical songs and jokes from that period. The knights will show you their skills and the spearers, jonglers and women walking on ‘high stilts’ their agility. The inquisitor will search and find the ‘witch’ in the mass. All of them will involve actively the guests in the middle ages stories.
The experience includes: bus transfer, local guide, welcome drink, tour around the Grimani-Morosini castle, presentations of old crafts, tasting of local products, pictures with animals, trial and the witch execution, vocal group Nešpula, theatrical play, folk dinner + drinks, hanging out with the cast
